October Drive - Celebrating our supporters!

There are less than 48 hours left in our October Drive! Cool fact: so far, we have 228 donors from 17 countries! We're gratified by all you've done to help us to make this drive a success. If you haven't joined or donated yet, you can do so here, and get some cool stuff, too. But donating isn't the only way you can help: you can talk us up, introduce us to your friends, and spread the word about the OTW. You are our star recruiters, and your experience with everything the OTW can do for fans (and for the world!) is the most convincing testimony.

These fans have given us permission to link to the posts they've made promoting the drive and supporting the OTW. If you've posted something similar and would like to share, leave us a comment with a link!

Of course! =D

You can either link to the blog itself at Science Fiction, Media & Fandom (both posts are front page) or you can link to individual entries: Why I support the OTW (English) and Pourquoi je soutiens l'OTW (French).

You're welcome!

Sorry I was so late for making a post, but glad I could make it "in time"!

That whole event made me think of a possible idea for a paper submission I need to work on for a conference about networks! Starting to think about maybe talking about the OTW and how it speaks to both fan and academics (and of course aca-fen hehe).

*goes back to brainstorming*

dude. you'll notice that i *still* haven't made a proper post. /o\ it will happen! maybe. and this isn't late!

oooh. more papers = more better, is what i say. on account of how i like to read them, especially when they discuss the otw. <3

did you follow the program at ir11 at all? what i saw on twitter seemed pretty otw- and fan-relevant, but it's hard to tell if that's due to twitter user self-selection.

I still find you awsome, no worry! xD

Yup, I am thinking about a couple ideas of papers to submit for that conference, and one is definitely going to have to do about the OTW I think. Hopefully it'll be this one that might be picked! But I think this is relevant to the question of networks! =)

Oh!! thanks for the link!! I had no idea about it! *zooms to read*
