Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to pass it along the org as a whole but, in my own personal opinion, fan translations don't fall into the scope of the org. (Different kind of transformative, I think. *g*)

I know that there are many good arguments to be made for fan translations but they do fall into more of the realm of arguments for and against the distribution of source materials. There are many arguments to be made for films, books, shows and cds and other multi-media sources being distributed unaltered via p2p across the world, especially to countries that won't get the original source as is for a variety reasons (local tv company didn't purchase it, it's been banned etc). However, OTW's interest isn't in this area.
