Heh, I think we may be thinking of similar but different things!
Being a Brit and all that, I always use the version of the ladies/gentlemen, ladies/jellyspoons, ladles/jellyspoons (and in some places in America, I hear it is ladles/jellybeans, which delights me to no end) intro that the late, great Spike Milligan recorded as "Ladies and jellyspoons..."
