Thank you very much for the update! And I think I speak for quite a number of fans when I say that I am so, so grateful for all the work you and the others have taken on. I only regret that I myself have no time - and, unfortunately, even less IT or legal know-how - to contribute to the endeavor at this point.
In spite of the renewed strikethrough incident, I don't think time is snapping at fandom's heels just yet. It's definitely a very good thing we have a long-term plan for an archive (and maybe a blogging community?) of our own underway, but there's no need to rush things. As you say, better to do it properly from the ground up.
