Absolutely. And it's not like Livejournal has any system like that - most people don't even do the "hey, if you're a minor, don't read this!" thing at the top of their fic posts. (Ironically, pornish_pixies did require members to be over 18, and checked, I believe.) Every hoop you have to jump through decreases the likelihood of this being a really useful inclusive project.
