While it's not strictly of total relevance, I mention DeviantArt, since there are some features that DevArt has that would be of interest to the publishing masses, even though it is mostly known as a site for graphics rather than fiction, though there does seem to be a collective of writers over there too.

Also, it covers the whole content AND journal angle...
