It would be good if we could also draw attention to the fact that ACTA has been soundly defeated in Europe. Many European members of OTW have been active in fighting it. The next worry on both sides of the Atlantic is CETA, which brings Canada and Europe together in an unholy alliance intended to do many of the things ACTA was about. I also think we should occasionally link to La Quadrature du Net, who have some good articles on the subject, and particularly a book by one of their founders. Sharing: Culture and the Economy in the Internet Age/Philippe and Suzanne Aigrain is an excellent academic exploration of possible changes in copyright law and as such should be of interest to AO3/OTW.
